Muddy Buddy 2011 - Peach Chowdah!

What's the Muddy Buddy? Good question... Competitors traverse a 6-7 mile off-road course neck deep in mud, while competing in five obstacles in teams of two at Columbia's Muddy Buddy. With one person running and one on the bike, after the first obstacle, the rider will drop the bike, complete the challenge, and begin running. The runner will arrive, complete the obstacle also and switch to the bike. Teams will continue leapfrogging each other through the entire course. Atlanta, Georgia we will be in your neck of the woods June 11, 2011, so if you're in the mood to get physical- roll your pants up and get ready to get dirty. The mud pit at the end is the celebratory prize for crossing the finish line.
Angie and I decided to take on the Muddy Buddy. Here we are prior to starting. What's our team name you ask, PEACH CHOWDAH!! How did we come up with that? That would be a combination of our Northern roots with our Southern life! We had the states we grew up in on the back and the kids all had Georgia. It was really pretty cute!
The end of the race getting ready to cross the finish line! EXHAUSTED!

I can bake too...DANG IT!!!

The Office I work in has a brunch every month and we all bring something and I must admit I usually bring dessert and I usually get it from my Dad, but after they made fun of me for always getting my stuff from my Daddy, I told them I was going to make a cake. So here is my ladybug cake. I know that this post has nothing to do with Jack or Drew (well, Drew helped bake the cake) but I just wanted to go on record with my cake. :)

The funniest part is...they really didn't think I did it. :(

Murtle the Turtle

The boys have been going to YMCA camp this summer and I go over and pick-up Andres in the morning and bring them all to the bus. Well, yesterday on the way to the Y we saw a HUGE :) turtle on the side of the road so, of course, we had to stop and see it. The boys named him Murtle the Turtle and each took turns holding him (don't worry, we had plenty of hand sanitizer for after the holding of Murtle). They were so excited and we spent so much time there that they almost missed the bus to camp. I mean we had to run!! Anyway, they got off safely and were hoping to see Murtle this morning...but unfortunately, No Murtle. I think he found his way back across the street to the lake...that's what I'm hoping anyway! I love the little things in life...

Kickball on The View

This is a typical evening in front of our house. A kickball game or a game of four-square. What does 22 kids playing outside every night in the summer make? If we're lucky...great childhood memories!! xoxo

We LOVE Summer!!

We spend ALOT of time at the pool and this weekend was no exception! Here are a couple pictures of Jack and Payton in the Lazy River! There were about 8 kids from the street there and we all had a great time!
My goodness is she cute!

Cubs take 1st!

Baseball season has come to an end and Drew and the Cubs finished up with a 12-1 record! They did a great job and all improved tremendously! Way to go, Cubbies! Andrew's party was last night and he got a trophy that is, "BIGGER THAN ALL JACK'S TROPHIES" he exclaimed in the car. As you can imagine, Jack was NOT impressed! Had a great season but this Mom is excited all the sports are done for a couple months. Time to enjoy summer and the pool!!

Great job, Andrew...Love you!! xoxo
