Game 2...Tie

What a great game the Rapids had last night! The score was 2-2 but they played really well. Passed well and really worked together as a team! They are really doing great. Jack had a great goal and also a hilarious steal with a fast breakaway. He hit the post when he tried to score but it was fantastic to watch!
Thanks for the entertainment, Jack! :)
Way to go, Rapids! Someone is exhausted!

Thanks for coming Bumpa and Christy
xoxo

Jack was "STARVING" after his game!

Soccer season is underway! Game 1...

Doesn't he look tired? ;) That is a face of a boy after winning his first soccer game of the season 5-1. It should have been his 3rd game, but rainy skies in Georgia...oh well. He had a great game and scored 2 goals! Way to go Jack and way to go Rapids!!

Kidney Disease don't change the fact that he's SUPER cute!

Well, here is the latest update on Drew. He has Autosomal dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease(ADPKD). ADPKD affects approximately 1 in 500. It does not skip a generation. There is usually a family history of ADPKD. Parents with ADPKD have a 50 percent chance of passing the disease on to each of their children. Like I mentioned before, Neil has PKD so when Drew's kidney test results came back off I assumed that was what it was. He is doing fine and has no symptoms. His blood pressure is great and his urinalysis clear so right now all looks good. His diet has to change some which is most likely going to upset this junk food junkie (hot dogs, etc) so this not such a great cook of a Mom has to get on her game! :)
If you'd like to read more about PKD here is the website to the PKD Foundation http://www.pkdcure.org/
Again, thank you so much for all your love and support over the past couple of months. The boys and I truly appreciate it. xoxo

Happy Birthday Margarita!

I don't normally post birthday announcements on here but I thought I should mention this very special person. Special to me and special to the boys! The whole Naquin Family is very special to us. We spend a lot of time together and I was super excited to help Margarita celebrate her 40th Mardi Gras Style! Her birthday was last week but her party was this past Saturday and we all had a great time! It was for adults only but thats okay because the boys were with Neil anyway. There were beads and masks waiting for them when they got home and they seemed happy about that. Drew, Andres, Margarita, Kevin, Lucas & Jack

The girls! :)

Love it!

Would you expect anything less?

Happy Birthday, Sweet Friend!! xoxo Love you.
Thank you for all that you do for me and my boys!

EVERY morning...

"Is it a school day?" This is what I deal with EVERY morning...just wanted to share the love! haha
xoxo
(Mommy loves you Drew) ;)

Jack accepted into REACH!!

Jack was evaluated for the Coweta County REACH Program for Gifted Students K-12 over the past few weeks and I got his results yesterday and it was determined that he met state and local criteria for placement in the REACH program. He was super excited! His friend Regan that he is in class with also will be attending REACH with him so he is even more excited about it. I told him we could have a celebration dinner and he could pick whatever he wanted so he wanted to invite Bumpa and he wanted to go to Steak 'n Shake. So easy to please at this age. He was slightly disappointed when he changed his regular cookie dough shake to an M&M one but other than that a very fun and successful dinner. I think Bumpa liked his hat so much...he decided to wear it home. :)
Drew jumped in the picture and needed to be crazy!
(I'm getting a new phone so the days of the blurry Blackberry that has been underwater, posts are coming to an end, I promise!)
Jack and Mommy
Jack~I am so proud of you! You are a smart and wonderful little boy!

Let the 7th season begin...

Jack's soccer jacket came in and he is super excited! Doesn't he look cute?!?! I can't believe he's been playing since he was 3. Now remember he took 2 seasons off to try ice hockey and baseball and has come back to soccer both times. He's so fast and cute to watch on the field. I think I enjoy it as much as he does and that is hard to say coming from such a baseball loving Mom! The Rapids kick off their season with practice tomorrow night at 6pm and their first game on Saturday at 1:30pm. Go Rapids! ;)
