Jack started soccer yesterday and he was super excited about it. I got some shots of him walking toward the field to meet his new team. He is with all boys this year, they are no longer co-ed and he seems pretty excited which is funny. So, practice is on Wedenesday nights and his games start Septemeber 18. The season started late which I think means we will probably go into November. Brrrr.... :) Good luck, Jack!Thursday, September 9, 2010

We get by with a little help from our friends.
I would like to take a moment to thank some people in our lives for always being so helpful. The Handley Family, The Boynton Family, and The Naquin Family. You all made the last week bearable when at times I thought for sure I might not make it through. Here is a little background for those of you that don't know about last week. Hurricane Earl was on his way which means Mommy was very stressed with work and ended up not getting home until 7pm two nights. So...Thank you, Handley Family for picking up and watching Jack & Drew and for always helping out last minute!
Friday night is always pizza night and I needed some non-work related adult conversation. Thank you, Boynton Family for Pizza night and for listening to my crazy life and my crazy school drama. To say Drew was less than perfect at school last week would be a large understatement. To go into details about that would take all day so I will spare you all the details (All I will say is Mommy broke down into tears twice).
Finally, Thank you, Naquin Family for inviting us to go camping with you this weekend at Lake Lanier. Although we only joined you Sun-Mon we had a great time and we needed the getaway more than you know. Jack, Drew and I are so lucky to have friends like all of you! Thank you!

Long Work Day + No Groceries = SUBWAY!
Some days it feels like the world is going to come crashing down and I know it seems like I have had alot of those lately but this girl is tired! I feel bad for the boys because I have been so stressed with work, life, etc. that they seem to get the worst part of me lately but I am working on it. So here's to the 3 Musketeers...be patient with Mommy, Jack & Drew. We'll figure it :)Friday, August 27, 2010
Drew's 1st Fieldrip to Publix
Andrew's Pre-K class went on their first fieldtrip today to Publix and guess who they got to see...BUMPA!! Yup, he fed them frosting and gave them cookies. The teachers were super excited about that, I'm sure. :) I was excited that I got to chaperone today. I didn't get to go on any of jack's fieldtrips because my job at the time was not very "family friendly".

Drew to Blue and only 2!
(This is the result of bending over to pick-up something and running your head down the wall in the process...so funny!)Yup, you guessed it...blue paint and only on 2 walls! Some of you may know that Jack and Drew currently share a room. This had been working out really great, but now they are starting to keep each other up at night so I decided to give Drew his own room (Jack wanted to keep his Red Sox room, and Drew wanted a Star Wars room). Saturday, Drew and I started painting his room. What a complete and utter disaster that was. I mean to the point where there are only 2 walls painted and to say they are painted well would be a complete lie. Note to self...dark colors...hard to paint...requires multiple coats...UGH!!!
So...the painter is coming. I'm such a girl, when in doubt, hire! I will post the finish product soon.
Lunch with Jack
One week of school down and Jack did very well. I went to have lunch with him on Friday and he seemed really excited to see me (which always feels good). I met his friend Regan. They were in the same kindergarten class and were really excited when they found out they were in the same 1st grade class. Apparently they are a little too chatty, but are working on it. :) Thanks for sharing your lunch break with me Jack! xoxoThursday, August 12, 2010
Thanks, Mr Dave!!
Jack and Andrew LOVE watermelon. I had been telling them that my co-worker Dave had a farm and that he had been promising a watermelon for me to bring home so as you can imagine, they were SUPER excited when I came home yesterday with the watermelon. It was in the front seat of the car when I got them from afterschool and Jack screamed, "Drew it's here!" when he got in the car. It was funny! We are looking forward to cutting it open this weekend and sharing it with all our friends on the street.
Dave grows all kinds of vegetable and brings them in to the office so we can take them home. Who needs the Farmers Market? We have Dave! :)Dave was featured yesterday in a story in the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) about farming. Take a look...
