Wild Welch West Play

Jack's 1st grade play was on Thursday and it was really cute. It was called the Wild Welch West. Remember, he goes to Welch Elementary...anyway, it was cute play and he was a cute little cowboy. Drew made it his job when it was over to steal that hat. See below...lol
Isn't he cute? His best friend from class Regan is right behind him

Happy Birthday Christy!

September 25th is Christy's Birthday and so the boys wanted to go out and pick out something special for Christy all by themselves and they did just that. I must admit I have very thoughtful little boys. They like to buy presents and they like to buy "pretty" things. :) Friday night Dad and Christy came over for a birthday party because they both had to work on Saturday and because the boys are with their Dad this weekend so we did cake and ice cream on Friday night. Here are a few pictures of the party. Enjoy...
Jack with his fall scented candle since, "it is fall and all" :)
Drew with the glass slipper that Christy can put her "Bumpa Ring" in, which is her engagement ring, in case you were wondering...lol

Here are the gifts...so cute. :)
Happy Birthday Christy! We love you!

Game 2...Victory!

It was a 8-6 victory for Jack and his team on Saturday. It was super hot but it was a great game. The boys played well together and Jack scored a goal! I think it is going to be an exciting season!

Trouble, Trouble, Trouble...

I took this picture last night while the boys were outside playing. Look at this picture, close your eyes and flash forward 10 years and think about the trouble I am going to be in when this is a real jeep...YIKES!

Croup the PillowPet

There are a lot of things I have learned about my youngest child. He is late to show bloomer in a lot of things. For example, learning his letters, writing his name, throwing a ball, but getting croup? Aren't you suppose to get that when you're a baby? lol Nope, not my stubborn child. He got it at 4.5 years old. Poor little guy. We were up all night Saturday night and Sunday morning I brought him to Urgent Care where he was diagnosed and prescribed steroids. We then went to Walmart to get a movie and some cookie dough ice cream. So I hope if you were there Sunday morning you were no where between the ice cream section and the RedBox Movie Rental because croup was floating around...sorry. lol
Anyway, on our way out they had a display of pillowpets, which Drew has been asking faithfully for for a about year but I haven't gotten because I didn't want to order it off tv. So, of course I bought him one and we so affectionately named him Croup.
Well, Drew is better and he went back to school today. The cough is lingering but he no longer sounds like a seal. I really wish there had been a seal pillowpet! :)

We've got our first loose tooth...finally!!

When I say loose tooth I am saying the word loose very loosely...lol
Jack discovered on Saturday that his bottom tooth is loose and it is but it has a long way to go. He doesn't care though, he's just happy it's loose and it will be out before he turns 7! Can you tell he's the last one of his friends to lose his teeth? lol
We'll keep you posted...

Soccer has started

Saturday, September 18 was Jack's first soccer game. He played a hard game but in the end they suffered a hard loss of 8-2. It was about 95 degrees at 3pm game time so he was exhausted. He was sweating by 2:35 during warm-up. Look at that smile on his face after all that. Such a good kid! :) Great game, Jack!

Star Wars Room...Mission Complete!!

If you take a look back about a month ago you will see a post where Drew and I tried to paint his room and it didn't go so well. Well, during that time Mommy hired a painter and had it painted and while the boys were at their Dads this weekend I finished his room. He was so excited when he got home and Jack was super excited to get his own room again. Sunday night was a happy night! I know by looking at the pictures it doesn't seem like much but this Mom went to IKEA to buy the bed, brought it home and built the bed (thanks to Tammy and her minivan for their help...lol), hung the pictures, hung the curtains and stuck over 100 glow in the dark stars on the ceiling. It's a simple room but to a 4 year old Star Wars fan. "It's the best room EVER MADE!!" Glad you like it Drew and now I hope you stop hogging my bed in the middle of the night you bed hogging hogger! :) Drew all tucked in for his first night

1st Grade Grandparents Lunch!

Sometime in the month of September is National Grandparents Day. I tend to forget it every year but that doesn't mean I forget about how great both sets of my parents are. They are truly luckly little boys to have people that love them so much. Well, Welch Elementary does a Grandparents Lunch every year and Dad and Christy always go. I didn't tell Jack about it, so he was excited to see them. He loves lunch visitors. :) Here are a few pictures my Dad sent me from his phone. Jack & Bumpa
Jack & Christy
Apparently everyone ate their lunches. No idea what Dad and Christy had, but Jack brings his lunch everyday so he enjoyed a ham sandwich, yogurt, bbq chips, mandarin oranges and a juice box. I wonder if I should've packed them a lunch too. :)

Here's to the start of another soccer season!

Jack started soccer yesterday and he was super excited about it. I got some shots of him walking toward the field to meet his new team. He is with all boys this year, they are no longer co-ed and he seems pretty excited which is funny. So, practice is on Wedenesday nights and his games start Septemeber 18. The season started late which I think means we will probably go into November. Brrrr.... :) Good luck, Jack!
Look at that, after a few years, Jack has finally grown into his bag. lol

We get by with a little help from our friends.

I would like to take a moment to thank some people in our lives for always being so helpful. The Handley Family, The Boynton Family, and The Naquin Family. You all made the last week bearable when at times I thought for sure I might not make it through. Here is a little background for those of you that don't know about last week. Hurricane Earl was on his way which means Mommy was very stressed with work and ended up not getting home until 7pm two nights. So...Thank you, Handley Family for picking up and watching Jack & Drew and for always helping out last minute!
Friday night is always pizza night and I needed some non-work related adult conversation. Thank you, Boynton Family for Pizza night and for listening to my crazy life and my crazy school drama. To say Drew was less than perfect at school last week would be a large understatement. To go into details about that would take all day so I will spare you all the details (All I will say is Mommy broke down into tears twice).
Finally, Thank you, Naquin Family for inviting us to go camping with you this weekend at Lake Lanier. Although we only joined you Sun-Mon we had a great time and we needed the getaway more than you know. Jack, Drew and I are so lucky to have friends like all of you! Thank you!

Long Work Day + No Groceries = SUBWAY!

Some days it feels like the world is going to come crashing down and I know it seems like I have had alot of those lately but this girl is tired! I feel bad for the boys because I have been so stressed with work, life, etc. that they seem to get the worst part of me lately but I am working on it. So here's to the 3 Musketeers...be patient with Mommy, Jack & Drew. We'll figure it :)
