Well, here is the latest update on Drew. He has Autosomal dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease(ADPKD). ADPKD affects approximately 1 in 500. It does not skip a generation. There is usually a family history of ADPKD. Parents with ADPKD have a 50 percent chance of passing the disease on to each of their children. Like I mentioned before, Neil has PKD so when Drew's kidney test results came back off I assumed that was what it was. He is doing fine and has no symptoms. His blood pressure is great and his urinalysis clear so right now all looks good. His diet has to change some which is most likely going to upset this junk food junkie (hot dogs, etc) so this not such a great cook of a Mom has to get on her game! :)If you'd like to read more about PKD here is the website to the PKD Foundation http://www.pkdcure.org/

What a strong handsome young man! I know you are a proud mama sara! Part of me feels pain for you bc its personal and close to me... your like family. Thanks for sharing drew's story... hope to see you soon
